James Borrego will get the remainder of this season to impress the New Orleans Pelicans brass enough to be installed as the team’s full-time head coach. Borrego was named in the interim head coach after the Pelicans fired Willie Green on Saturday morning.
Kevin Ollie will reportedly also receive interest from New Orleans to be the team’s next full-time head coach. Ollie was previously an interim head coach for the Brooklyn Nets for 28 games in 2024. In addition, Ollie was the head coach at UConn for six seasons.
